2023: Invited to, and participated in, the FCS Bowl in Daytona Beach, Florida…due to play at FCS Bowl, earned invite to FBS Tropical Bowl in Orlando, Florida…also participated in the College Gridiron Showcase in Fort Worth, Texas…during the UNI season, played in five games…totaled 15 tackles (five solo, ten assists)…four tackles for loss…three sacks and two QB hurries…two fumble recoveries.

2022: Named to Phil Steele MVFC Preseason Second Team Defense…Played in seven games… Recorded 27 tackles, including five solo tackles at North Dakota…Notched 4.5 TFLs for 11 yards…Named to the MVFC Honor Roll.

FALL 2021: Played in 11 games…recorded 51 total tackles, including a season-high seven against South Dakota…recorded 10 tackles for a loss on the year… ranked third in the conference with three fumbles recovered… Led team in sacks with 7.5…fifth in MVFC in sacks…third in the nation in fumble recoveries…named to the Phil Steele FCS All-MVFC Fourth Team Defense…Named a Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award winner, along with being named a member of the Honor Roll.

SPRING 2020: Played in six games…recorded 18 total tackles…tallied 6.5 tackles for loss…notched 3.0 total sacks…had sacks against Youngstown State, Illinois State and Southern Illinois… recorded 3.5 tackles for loss against Missouri State…had two QB hurries and two forced fumbles against Illinois State.

2019: Played in 11 games…tallied 11 total tackles this season…most active game was against San Diego where he recorded three tackles and one sack.

2018: Redshirted…played against Hampton and recorded two assists tackles… recorded one tackle against Western Illinois…played against Lamar… Played fewer than four games. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Claimed First Team All-State (2017) honors as a defensive end…named First Team All-Conference (2017) at defensive end as a senior…earned team captain honors at Cambridge High School as a sophomore, junior and senior…claimed All-Conference (2016) at defensive end as a junior…collected his first All-Conference (2015) honor at quarterback as a sophomore… played nine different positions while at Cambridge HS (TE, QB, FB, WR, DE, DT, MLB, OLB, SS)…aso played forward for the Cambridge HS basketball team

PERSONAL: From Cambridge, Nebraska…son of Jamie Stewart and Jason Houghtelling…has four siblings, Lizzy, Will, Annabelle and Kyric…volunteered with restoration efforts at local parks in Cambridge…chose UNI because the coaching staff believes in him…majoring in physical education minor in coaching.
